Venus Pole Dancing
What should I wear?

You need to wear something that is not too restrictive, like shorts and t-shirt. Shorts are ideal because you'll need your skin to grip the pole to make it easier for you. Heels help with posture, footwork and spins. Try NOT to wear body lotions or creams as this will make the pole slippery and harder for you to perform tricks. Taking your rings and bracelets off is a good idea too.
When can beginners start?

Beginners can start anytime, new girls start our group/open lessons every week so you wouldn't feel left out. If it's a private lesson, then you'll be by yourself anyway, so no need to worry.
When do you teach private lessons?

Private lessons are by appointment, all you need to do is email or call us with the days and times you are able to attend and we'll book you in. The more days and times you give us, the easier and quicker we can book you in as sometimes we have a waiting list.
Am I going to hurt afterwards?

YES! Most people ache for about 2 days after your first lesson. Most people don't realise how hard pole dancing really is, and neither does your body! Every student we teach says they get more out of pole dancing than they do going to the gym. Don't worry though, you'll get used to it.
My friend has loads of bruises, is this gonna happen to me?

Yes, most likely! Skin + stainless steel = bruises! You're gonna be climbing, spinning, gripping and maybe falling a little, so yes, I'm not gonna lie to you, you'll probably end up with bruises. But it's all part of the fun, we show our bruises off! Even Cheryl, our chief instructor gets bruises from time to time, "Learn a new move get a new bruise" as she always says.
I'm a bit overweight, can I still pole dance?

Of course!! We welcome anyone of any shape or size! If you feel a bit nervous you are welcome to come along to our open lessons and just watch what we do, or just book yourself in to a private lesson. Everyone at our lessons are very encouraging to every new student.
